Utah continues their ascent up our rankings, after free falling for a couple of straight weeks, which is to be expected after those two losses. The Utes are up to No. 5 in our poll, which is exactly where I have them. They can take another big step with a win over USC this week. We all have Oregon at No. 1 after their performance against Washington, but I think they may stumble this week. The one area where I’m a bit surprised is that not all of us have Arizona at 12 right now. Without Tate, and a semblance of an offensive identity, combined with a terrible defense, I just don’t see how the Wildcats can compete right now. UCLA is also starting to show some signs of life by pulling themselves off the mat a little bit, getting Chip Kelly’s first win at the school.
