#Pac12AfterDark on a Friday night for the Utes as they look to go to 6-2 on the season, and 4-2 in the Pac-12. As it has been covered, the Utes need to keep winning to clinch the South, and it starts tonight at the Rose Bowl against UCLA. Utah, winners of three in a row, now ranked No. 23, look to keep things rolling in Southern California, while UCLA has picked up two in a row after dropping their first five. So this is a game between two streaking teams, even if Utah really has been rolling.
The Utes have been good in all phases the last three games, with a couple of special teams snafus not withstanding. If Utah can go in there and take care of business, jump on UCLA early, they can snuff out any hopes for the Bruins. If they let them hang around, however, then it could be a more stressful night than we’ve been used to over the last few weeks. UCLA is likely starting a backup QB, Wilson Speight, who actually opened the season as the starter. Can Utah’s aggressive, fast defense get to him? We’ll found out tonight.
Join us here if you aren’t in the Rose Bowl.
