How to watch/listen to Utah at Colorado

NCAA Basketball: Utah at Arizona Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The Utes are playing really well right now, after winning three of their last four games and almost upsetting Arizona in Tucson. Utah’s backcourt is playing as well as they have all season, even though Justin Bibbins had struggles against Arizona. Sedrick Barefield is playing as well as he has while being at Utah, and those two are really driving the ship for the Utes. David Collette has been consistent, and Jayce Johnson has also really stepped up the last couple of weeks. I really like what I’ve seen from him. I just wish he was a bit more athletic and nimble on his feet.

Now the Utes should hopefully be able to recharge a little bit with it being Colorado week, and only having 1 game this week. Utah has owned CU the past couple of years, winning 7 straight against the Buffs. CU is a team that scares me though, even with their record. They beat both Arizona schools in Boulder a couple of weeks ago, back when both were playing really well. The are big and long, which usually causes Utah some issues, especially in the paint, where Collette struggles with length. Also, playing in Boulder is tough, even though Utah has had the upper hand. I don’t see this as a game where either team really pulls away from the other, because I think these two teams are probably pretty equal talent wise right now. Utah is flirting with being in the top four of the league, and if they want to get there, this is one of those games they need to win. It’ll be a tough one.

Here’s more on the Buffs from the release:

The Buffaloes, at one point in Pac-12 play, had won four out of five, which included wins over both Arizona and Arizona State, along with wins over UCLA and Washington State. Since then, however, the Buffs have gone 0-3, which included a home loss to Washington back on Jan. 20. CU did open regular season winning six straight before dropping three of its next four games. The Buffs have gone into overtime twice on the season - both times CU has come up with the victory.

McKinley Wright and George King both have scored 314 total points each on the season and both players average a team-best 14.3 points per game. King has a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game average, which ranks third in the league. Wright in second in the league with 119 assists and he also has a team-high 24 steals on the season.

Colorado is averaging 73.5 points per game, but give up 73.8 points to opposing squads. The Buffs are shooting 44.8 percent overall, 35.0 percent from downtown and 71.8 percent from the charity stripe.
