How to watch/listen to USC vs Utah

NCAA Basketball: Utah at Southern California Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Who doesn’t love a little Saturday afternoon basketball? The Utes looks to sweep the home stand with the LA schools with a matchup against USC. Utah is coming off of a nice win over UCLA on Thursday, where they had a nice balanced effort across the board. Meanwhile, USC is wondering if they’ll be without one of their best players, Chimezie Metu, who is being tied up in some of this college basketball scandel that is across the news. The Trojans are already without Bennie Boatwright, who is out with an injury, but has also been named in some of the accusations out there.

The Utes previous game against USC was just terrible. It was lazy, uninspired basketball and they were run out of the gym early in LA. The allowed USC to shoot unbelieveably from the three point line, and the game was over just after it got started. The Utes need to keep their momentum going for a possible NCAA berth, and I think the Trojans are reeling right now, especially if Metu may not play.

Here’s a bit more about USC from the press release:

USC is coming off a 75-64 win over Colorado this past Wednesday. The Trojans have won three straight following a three-game skid that occurred in early February. USC is 20-9 overall and currently ranks second in the league with an 11-5 conference record. The Trojans are 5-5 on the road overall, which includes a 4-4 mark in Pac-12 road games. The Trojans average 78.6 points per game, while giving up just 71.3 points to opposing squads. USC has giving up just 69.9 points per game in Pac-12 Conference contests. The Trojans ranks first in the Pac-12 in total assists (474) and assists per game (16.3). Jordan McLaughlin ranks first in the league and fourth in the nation with 7.7 assists per game. Chimezie Metu leads USC with 16.0 points per game and ranks second with 7.2 rebounds per game. Bennie Boatwright, who is out for the remainder of the season, leads the team with 8.4 rebounds per game.
