A little lunch and basketball anyone? The Utes return to the court to take on USC this afternoon, and are looking to move to a 6 game winning streak. Both teams are coming off wins Thursday night, and both are playing for seeding in the Pac-12 tournament in two weeks.
The big news was announced just a while back that USC will have Chimezie Metu for today’s game, after he has been linked to some of these FBI accusations. That’s a big deal for USC, as they are already without Bennie Boatwright due to an injury. Obviously, it’s not a big surprise that the Trojans aren’t sitting him, but they probably should, at least in my mind.
This is a game the Utes needs to win for their seeding in the Pac-12 tournament, as well as their NCAA at large hopes. Right now they are squarely on the bubble, and a slip up can easily burst it. It’ll be fun to see how Utah responds to a pretty clutch win over UCLA the other night.
Let’s find out..
Go Utes!
