Utah football signs DT Jackson Cravens

Another hometown hero is on board with the signing of Jackson Cravens, a three-star 6’ 3”, 285 pound defensive tackle out of Timpview High in Provo. Jackson had a nice offer list, with the likes of Michigan State, Oregon, Arizona, Georgia, and even Princeton. From the Power 5 to the Ivy Leagues, that’s pretty impressive. Utah has done really well with landing a lot of these in state kids this season. It’s also always fun to pull a kid out of Utah county.

When you watch Cravens’s film, he reminds me a lot of Hunter Dimick. Similar to Snacks, Cravens has a nice motor and nose to make plays in the backfield. He’s a similar size as Dimick, and should hopefully fill some shoes that he left behind, since Utah’s ability to get to the QB wasn’t as strong this season.

Welcome to the Utah football family Jackson, and good luck on your run for Mayor of Sack Lake City!
