Utah football has announced the signing of Katy (Texas) Cinco Ranch strong-side defensive end Blake Kuithe. Kuithe and his twin brother Brant both committed to Utah in January. He held offers from Arizona State, Colorado, and Iowa State from the Power Five in addition to multiple other offers.
Kuithe is able to beat double teams and can get into the backfield to make plays on the ball carrier. At 6’ 2”, 230 pounds, Kuithe will likely spend some time in the weight room to bulk up to play defensive end in the Pac-12. While he is an under-the-radar prospect, both he and his brother strike me as the types to out-work others far outweigh their recruiting rankings.
