Former Utah basketball player Chris Seeley transfers to Fresno State

We’re probably about half way through the “free agent” season for college basketball, and the Utes have seen some departures, which is no longer a surprise in the current landscape. One of the departures, Chris Seeley, the athletic forward has decided to take his game to the Mountain West Conference to play for Fresno State.

As I’ve stated in the past, Seeley is a guy I would have liked to see stick around, because I think his size and athleticism would have been a bonus for the Utes on the defensive side of the floor, and rebounding. We weren’t really able to see much of his offensive game, but he liked to play above the rim which is a bonus in the Pac-12. Now that he’s in the MWC, I’d expect him to have a solid career with the Bulldogs. I’m still curious the reason why he decided to leave, whether it was playing time, new guys coming in, or if he just wanted out — it could have been any number of things. Regardless, best of luck to him in his new home.
