Utah is off to a good start with their 2019 class with the committment of Marist Talavou, a 6-3 316 pound offensive guard out of St John Bosco High School in California. Talavou is rated as a three star guard from 247sports.com

Talavou has offers from some other big name programs, suchs as ASU, Oklahoma and Oregon. I’d expect him to get some more offers as we get closer to signing day, and he is one the Utes will have to hold onto. St John Bosco is a talent factory for talent and this is a good start for the Utes with the newest class.
I wouldn’t expect Utah to pick up a bunch of committments over the summer, and even into the fall. The Utes have taken a new mentality over the last couple of seasons. They used to fill up their slots well before signing day, now the Utes play it a bit slower to try and get some higher end talent, which has paid off well the last couple of years.
