Weber State at Utah Open Thread

Wooohooo! Here we go, the 2018 football season is here, and the expectations around the Utah football program are as high as they’ve been for a while. A ton of returning starters, very few seniors on the team, and some major playmakers return on both sides of the ball. Picked second in the Pac-12 South, the Utes are a trendy pick among many people to overcome USC this season and make it to that elusive Pac-12 Championship Game. It’s a beast of a schedule, but it all kicks off tonight against defending Big Sky champions Weber State.

Lead by a collection of former Utes, the Jay Hill coached Wildcats aren’t your average FCS team, they’re well coached and they expect to compete. They are replacing their starting QB and RB, so there could be some growing pains that the Utes can take advantage of in this opener.

Hopefully the quest for a Pac-12 title begins tonight at Rice-Eccles.

Join us here to chat about the game as it happens, and hopefully we’ll have a ton of highlights to get excited about.

Go Utes!
