MyKayla Skinner won the MyKayla Skinner award for the second time this season, also know as the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week. Skinner has won the award and the 14th time in her career—adding to the Pac-12 career record she already owns. Skinner has been leading the No. 4 Utes to a hot start, scoring over 197 in every meet thus far this season. This appears to be a powerful and skilled Utah team, and they have started off on fire, and appear to be on a head on collision with No. 2 ranked UCLA.
Skinner won the all-around in the win over Oregon State, the Beavers first home meet loss since 2017. She won two individual events last week, with wins in the vault, where she is No. 1 in the country, and the bars. That gives her 11 total wins this season, and a crazy 88 for her career. She just needs to keep the ball rolling, and get her teammates to keep performing and some big wins will happen this season.
