The Utes moved up to No. 15 in both the AP and Coaches Poll this week, even without playing a snap due to the bye week. The Utes, a week removed from plastering Washington State, is hoping to carry the momentum they have re-captured into the matchup in Corvallis against Oregon State in a week. Up two spots in both polls, the Utes appear to be rebounding nicely from a disappointing loss against USC a couple of weeks ago.
Obviously, these polls don’t mean much, but if the Utes continue to play well and win, I’d imagine they’d find themselves in a nice spot once the CFP poll releases early next month. The Utes do have some ranked matchups still on the board, with ASU being ranked, as well as potentially Washington (maybe likely), Cal, and potentially Oregon in a Pac-12 Championship Game.
