How to watch Utah take on Colorado

NCAA Football: UCLA at Utah Melissa Majchrzak-USA TODAY Sports

Senior day, here we go. The Utes return home for the home finale after plastering Arizona on the road one week ago. For the Utes everything is still on the line today against Colorado. Win and they punch their ticket to the Pac-12 championship game, and will have a chance to play for the Rose Bowl.

Colorado is playing for big stakes too. If the Buffs win they’ll be bowl eligible, something that has been hard to come by for the Buffs over the last couple decades. Colorado is on a two game winning streak, with wins over Stanford and Washington. They have rebounded well after a five game losing streak and are showing signs of life.

For the Utes, the formula remains the same. It all starts up front. The offensive line needs to continue to play well. If they open holes for Zack Moss, and give Tyler Huntley time in the pocket the offense shouldn’t struggle and will move the ball. Also, continue to play clean. That means no stupid penalties, which they flirted with plenty last week, and take care of the ball. CU’s defense is playing better, but Utah should be able to control the ball and put points on the board.

On defense, do not let CU have big plays. That means lock up Jaylon Johnson on Shenault, and make Colorado drive the field. If the defensive line can assert themselves, Montez will put the ball up for grabs. CU may get some chunk plays, but Utah’s defense just needs to stay the course.

Utah just needs to continue the one-two punch that both sides of the ball have produced with controlling the ball, draining the Buffs will, and teeing off and getting after Montez.

It’s senior day, and we say goodbye to some historically great seniors for the Utes. So if you’re going to the game, get your asses in your seats early and show them the love they deserve.
