Lone Peak HS, American Fork, Utah three-star safety Nate Ritchie signed with the Utah Utes. Ritchie was a do-everything player for Lone Peak, but he projects best as a safety in college. Ritchie’s recruitment heated up with offers from many Pac-12 programs, but he opted to stay home and play for the Utes.
At 6-3, 200, Ritchie has ideal size to play safety in the Pac-12. Watching his film, it baffles me that he is not a four-star recruit. He is big and athletic with great instincts. Ritchie is the epitome of what Utah looks for, he loves the game and is versatile as all get out. I love this pickup for Utah. He has the chance to be a multi-year starter and All-Pac-12 caliber player for the Utes. Ritchie was 6A first-team all state, recording 8 interceptions and 51 tackles.
Ritchie ranks No. 4 in Utah, the No. 42 safety, and the No. 585 overall according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking.
Welcome to Utah!
