Utah at Colorado Open Game Thread

NCAA Basketball: Utah at Southern California Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

After a bit of a break the Utes are back on the court today against Colorado, for their final road trip of the regular season. The Utes are coming off a split with the Washington schools, and are sitting in a position to get a bye in the conference tournament. They will need to keep winning to hold onto one of the top four spots.

The Utes will have the services of Timmy Allen today after he’s missed the last couple of games with back pain. He had a double double the last time the Utes played the Buffs and was a major focal point of the attack.

Utah is going to have to control pace against CU on the road, and can’t get caught up in an up and down game. That means the Utes will have to take care of the ball and not have live ball turnovers. If Utah holds onto the ball, they’ll get good shots, and the likes of Barefield, PVD, Tillman and others will have to make CU pay.

Let’s see if Utah can get the sweep over the Buffs and keep pace for that bye.
