Kickoff times for four Utah football games announced

NCAA Football: Rice-Eccles Stadium Views Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

As we move from spring to summer, and under the 100 days to kickoff, we start to see the season come into focus a little bit at a time. The latest news for the Utah football team is now we know when four of the games will start for this upcoming season. Of course, we all know the season will start for the first time against BYU, down in Provo. That game will kick at 8:15pm on Thursday, August 29th, on ESPN. The Utes following two non-conference games will be on Pac-12 Network, with the Northern Illinois game kicking at a bright and early 11am, and Idaho State kicking at 2:15. I’m not sure the last time I can remember a pre-noon game at Rice-Eccles. Tailgating will be focused around breakfast no doubt.

Then the Utes open up conference play on Friday, September 20th at USC, and that game will start at 6pm on FS1. The decision for many of the rest of the other games could be determined just six days in advance of the game itself, as it has over the last handful of years or more.

You can see more about scheduling and the TV schedule, as of now, below.

Conference partners ESPN, FOX Sports and Pac-12 Networks will televise the entire 2019 Pac-12 home football schedule. Pac-12 Networks will air 35 home games, while ESPN and FOX Sports will combine to televise 44 games from Pac-12 home and neutral sites. In addition, ABC will televise the Pac-12 Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Friday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. PT (6 p.m. MT).
