There were big shake ups to our power rankings this week after the stunning upset of the Washington Huskies by the Cal Golden Bears. The USC Trojans dominant win over the Stanford Cardinal also had big power rankings implications. By knocking off the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Colorado Buffaloes also saw a nice upward movement. After back-to-back losses to Group of Five teams, the UCLA Bruins and their lack of offense tumbled to the bottom of our power rankings.
The Utah Utes and Oregon Ducks are the unanimous 1-2 in all of our power rankings. The USC Trojans and Washington State Cougars are the next two that are part of the top tier for our writers. The Huskies, who were second last week, tumbled all the way to fifth, one spot ahead of the Cal team that knocked them off in a game that had a 2+ hour weather delay and ended at almost 1:30 a.m. local time. The Arizona State Sun Devils slid in the rankings after struggling against an FCS foe and check in behind Colorado and Stanford. The Arizona Wildcats, Oregon State Beavers, and UCLA Bruins bring up the bottom.
