Barring a rash of positive COVID-19 tests this morning, the Utah Utes will finally be able to kick off their 2020 season. Third time’s the charm with the No. 20 USC Trojans coming to town. A massive COVID-19 outbreak and required two-week quarantines caused Utah to miss its first two games. While USC has been able to play, the Arizona State Sun Devils, who USC opened the season against, have missed their next two games (including their game today) because of their own COVID outbreak.
It is rare for USC to have to travel to places like Utah in November. The Trojans usually are able to avoid cold weather football games, but they will have to play a game where temperatures could drop below freezing before the game ends. How well will the Trojans do in the cold of Salt Lake City? We will find out at 8:30 p.m.
