Game five for the Utes and it’s the finale for the season. After a roller coaster of a month and a half, the Utes are going to call it a year after the Wazzu game, and I don’t think anyone blames them.
Coming off of a great signing class, some emerging stars on both sides of the ball, the future is really bright for the program, and they’re coming off of a nice win over Colorado a week ago.
I’m interested to see if the offense keeps it rolling from their second half performance a week ago. Can Ty Jordan keep rolling, and will Jake Bentley find the consistency that we’re all wanting to see. He ended up with a nice game a week ago, but those misses were frustrating. Also, will we see the wide receivers continue to emerge, as we saw with Enis and Thompson last week. Most importantly, can the offensive line continue improving. We’ve seen improvement week to week, and they’ll be the catalyst for the offense.
On defense, will they continue to have a knack of taking the ball away. I also want to see if the front four can generate pressure on their own, and allow the secondary to ball hawk with guys dropping back. It’s a fun unit to watch, and you can see the growing pains, but they are so fast and are disruptive.
One last ride in 2020, before hopefully a normal 2021.
Let’s go.
