The NFL kicked off this past weekend, and there were a ton of former Utes in action, and plenty made some huge impacts for their respective teams.
Here’s a rundown on how our guys did.
Alex Smith - Washington
Alex didn’t get any run in the team’s win over Philadelphia. Currently he’s listed as the No. 3 QB on the depth chart, and I’m not sure how many chances he’ll get early in the season. As the season goes along we may see him get some action, but I bet they’re going to be extremely careful with him as he returns from that injury.
Bradlee Anae - Dallas
No official stats
Cody Barton - Seattle
No official stats
Chase Hansen - New Orleans
No official stats, but he’s getting the shot he deserves after so many injuries.
Devontae Booker - Las Vegas
Booker got his career restarted with the Raiders, and had a solid game against the Panthers. He had four carries for 29 yards, and appears that he will be in the running back rotation through the season.
Eric Rowe - Miami
While he did lose against his former team, New England, he did pick up three tackles, one of which was solo.
Garett Bolles - Denver
It’s hard to judge an offensive lineman with stats, but I know I didn’t see Twitter blowing up on Bolles and any potential holding calls. Bolles is in a contract season, and is looking for a big season.
Jackson Barton - New York Giants
He was picked up by the Giants just before the season started.
Jaylon Johnson - Chicago

John Penisini - Detroit
No official stats
Julian Blackmon - Indianapolis
No official stats - it may take some time for him to get some serious run after returning from the ACL.
Kyle Fitts - Arizona
No official stats
Leki Fotu - Arizona
No official stats
Marcus Williams - New Orleans
Marcus didn’t fill up the stat sheet in the game against the Bucs, but he did pick off the GOAT.

Marquire Blair - Seattle
Blair had a nice start to the 2020 season with 4 solo tackles, 7 total tackles, but really turned some heads with his forced fumble against the Falcons. Blair had one of his signature hits to force the ball free, and got some love on Twitter for that reason.
Mitch Wishnowsky - San Francisco
Mitch had a nice game with four punts, with a long of 51 yards, while averaging 44.5 yards per punt. He did pin 3 of them within the 20.
Sam Tevi - LA Chargers
Sam was a starter for the Chargers against Cincinnati, and helped them pick up the W.
Terrell Burgess - LA Rams
No official stats - but I’d be surprised if he didn’t get a lot of special teams reps.
Tim Patrick - Denver
Patrick had a nice game with four catches for 29 yards. He has seemingly found a home in Denver, and is a rotational wideout.
Zack Moss - Buffalo

Not big stats for Moss in his first NFL game, but he did get nine carries but only had 11 yards. He did have three catches for 16 yards, and of course the receiving touchdown.
Matt Gay - Indianapolis
I have no idea why Gay wasn’t on a roster when the season started, but he was just signed to the Colts practice squad.
Josh Nurse - Jacksonville
Nurse just signed with the Jags practice squad.
