This is one of “those games” that happens a few times each season at Rice-Eccles. This is a game that can help propel Utah forward toward a third division title in four years. Utah and ASU are the last two undefeated teams in conference, and both are looking for separation.
ASU is a little like Utah a few seasons ago, a veteran team that is looking to next the next step. Utah is a bit like ASU from a couple seasons ago, a very young, very talented group that is wanting to prove themselves, and maybe be ahead of schedule to take that next step.
The game is at Rice-Eccles, and while it will be a little cold it will be a nice night. There will be emotions, as there always is in these games, but this one will have an extra twist with the losses of both Ty Jordan, and most recently Aaron Lowe.
Let’s see if these young Utes can continue to show the improvement we’ve seen the last couple of games, and if they can beat a ranked team.
Let’s go!
