Are we actually going to be able to watch some form of football today?! Sure, it’s not the real thing, but given everything we have all been through for the last year-plus, I feel like this is a major day. Only 6500 folks are allowed into Rice-Eccles, but there are going to be a ton of us watching from home.
We will get a sneak peek of what the 2021 team looks like, even if we don’t see many potential starters get a lot, if any, of reps. For some fans, myself included, it will be a little tough not seeing Ty Jordan on the field, but the team's tributes will be doing today with the helmets and will be great to see throughout the season.
Another interesting group to watch will be the wide receivers and what young guys will be putting their names out there to get some big reps. I know the running back room has a lot of talent, so I have no worry about that group. We could get a good feel for the offensive line too. Usually, the o-line goes both ways and is a bit of a hodge-podge of the group, but if they can keep the QBs “clean” with basic defensive packages, then I’ll feel pretty good.
Let’s watch some football!
