How to watch Utah play BYU

NCAA Football: Utah at Brigham Young Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Game two of the season and the Utes are in Provo to take on BYU. This will be the last game between the two teams for the next couple of seasons, and maybe one of the few matchups we see between the two in the coming years.

Utah is coming off of a solid win over Weber State, a win that should have been much larger. BYU is coming off of a so-so win over Arizona, after almost blowing a lead versus an under-talented Wildcats squad.

Of course, the storylines for this game are plentiful, with the current nine-game winning streak by Utah, and with BYU moving into the new Big 12 in a few years. This will be the last matchup before the Cougs make their move. It is also the first game in two years since last year’s game was cancelled due to COVID-19, and the two are taking 2022 and 2023 off as Utah will be playing Florida instead.

The Utes will be led into Lavell Edwards Stadium behind senior QB Charlie Brewer, who gave me as much confidence at QB as I’ve had in a long time. We should hopefully see a full offensive line after a few guys sat out the opener.

It’s a late kickoff, so get your naps in and get ready for a long night.
