There were lots of happy Utah fans in Las Vegas this weekend, not so much for fans of the Mountain West Conference, especially those who cheer for Colorado State and UNLV. But what did we learn from the weekend in Vegas?
According to players from the No. 23-ranked Utah Utes, Colorado State's players did a lot of talking before the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl. Well, the Rams talked a good game. Then the game started, and the Pac-12 Utes dominated in a 45-10 blowout.
The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl will pit the no.22 Utah Utes (8-4) against Colorado State (10-2), programs that are no stranger to each other, having played in the WAC and Mountain West conferences from 1967 until Utah departed for the Pac-12.
The No. 22 Utah Utes (8-4) finish the 2014 season by taking on the Colorado State Rams (10-2) of the Mountain West Conference in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. MT. CSU is known for its offense, but does play some D too.
