After being at the bottom of the Pac-12 Conference every season since joining the league, the Utah Baseball team has now become the first men's team to win a Pac-12 Championship, after defeating the Washington Huskies by a score of 21-7 on Sunday, taking two of three from the Huskies to claim the 2016 outright championship. With the win, the Utes also punches a ticket to the NCAA Regionals, their first visit since 2009.

What a season @utahbaseball! And it's not over yet! https : //t.co /HKSLvXz7dj
Utah went into this weekend series needing to win two of three to clinch the title outright, and needed just one to share the title. After losing the opener of the series things were looking pretty bleak, but Utah found some offense late in Saturday's game, in the 7th inning with 7 runs, to help them clinch a share of the championship. The offense carried over into Sunday's game immediately, as the Utes took a five run lead into the 2nd inning. Utah tacked on five more runs in the 3rd to take a 10-1 lead, and it was just getting started, as Utah had four innings of five runs, including the 7th and 8th innings. UW's bullpen had no answer, as they threw eight pitchers at the Utes lineup, and just couldn't find the right arm on the day.
Utah is without a doubt a Cinderella story this season, as they sit with an overall below
