Utah football has announced the signing of Marcel Brown, a composite 24/7 three-star running back from Rio Linda High School in Rio Linda, California. The almost 6-foot, 205 pound recruit joins a very good situation at running back, coming in behind the likes of Devontae Booker and Bubba Poole. Brown has been said to be friends not only with Devontae Booker, but also former Utah running back Marty Johnson.
In his high school career, Brown rushed for 5457 yards on 637 carries, and 70 touchdowns. During his last two seasons Brown rushed for 4000 of those yards. He added 450 yards receiving and four touchdowns during his career, as well.
Marcel Brown had offers from the likes of Washington and Arizona. With Brown in the fold, the Utes have a possible heir apparent to Devontae Booker after the 2015 season.
