Utah football signs WR Deniko Carter

Utah football has announced the signing of Deniko Carter, a composite 24/7 three-star wide receiver Gavilan Community College in Gilroy, California. The 6-foot-4, 180 pound JC transfer is coming on campus to help fill the shoes of Dres Anderson and Kaelin Clay, both of whom are graduated and now onto, hopefully, the NFL.

Carter has been clocked to run as low as a 4.3, 40 yard dash and will help with the deep threat in the passing game - a passing game that should hopefully improve under new Co-OC Aaron Roderick. In a conference full of player makers at wide receiver, the Utes need to keep adding to the outside.

Carter had about 800 yards receiving and six touchdowns in nine games this past season.

Deniko Carter was receiving interest from schools in the FCS and FBS level, like Fresno State and even Georgia.

Welcome to Utah Deniko!
