OL Jake Grant to grayshirt for Utah in 2015

Jake Grant, a three-star 24/7 composite offensive lineman from Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, will be taking a grayshirt for the Utes in 2015, and will join the squad for the 2016 season. Tip of the cap to the kid for paying out of his own pocket for a season so the Utes could get another body in the signing class.

Grant is a big kid, at 6-foot-4 and 279 pounds. He should be able to work on his body during this gray shirt season, and improve his knowledge of the game and Utah's offensive scheme.

Grant is said to be flexible with his position and will be flexible by the time he's ready to officially join the team.

Before committing to the Utes, almost a year ago, Grant was getting interest from schools all over the Pac-12, including the Pac-12 South. Schools like Nebraska and Mississippi State were also showing interest in the big kid from Jake Grant.

Thanks for taking one for the team Jake, and welcome to the Utah family (kinda)!
