Utah Football Signs RB Zack Moss

Utah has announced the signing of running back Zack Moss from Hallandale High School in Florida. Moss will join his two former teammates in Demari Simpkins and Tyler Huntley , who are already on campus. Zack Moss was a hot commodity late in the recruiting process as Tennessee made a strong push to try and flip him from Utah. Moss stands 5-10 and weighs 205 lbs and runs a 4.61 40 yard dash. He has a three star composite ranking on 247.

Moss finished off a very productive high school career this season rushing for 1,098 yards and 17 touchdowns while averaging 7.6 yards per carry. Out of the three players from Hallandale high school who signed with Utah, Moss has the best chance to make an impact immediately with his physical running style. Moss was originally committed to Miami before flipping to Utah in November.

Utah has big shoes to fill at the running back position this season with Devontae Booker off to the NFL. Joe Williams showed flashes he can be effective, but he is more of speed back with slashing capabilities. Moss has a chance to step in rightaway and be a complimentary back that pounds between the tackles and brings the Thunder to Williams lightening.
