It's been a big couple of weeks for the Utah basketball team, as they approach the end of the 2015-16 season, and get closer and closer to post season play. After sweeping the LA schools this past week, the Utes find themselves at No. 10 in the RPI. Utah's had a strong RPI all season long, by the virtue of them playing a strong non-conference schedule, as well as the Pac-12 being strong, but 10 is the highest they've been.
At this time of the season, having a strong RPI is very important for the NCAA tournament, as the committee more often than not, will look at RPI and determine your resume based off of that. Right now Utah is 2-2 against RPI top 25 teams (wins: Cal/Duke losses: Oregon/Cal), and will face the 25th ranked RPI team on Saturday with Arizona coming to down.
