USC Trojans vs. Utah Utes Open Thread: Pac-12 Quarterfinal

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

It's the postseason! After a long season, the Runnin' Utes are where they want to be, and they are the No. 2 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament. They are taking on USC, who beat UCLA last night, in the quarterfinal tonight to advance to take on either Cal or Oregon State. USC opened up a giant lead over UCLA and coasted to an easy win.

Utah had a BYE, so they have the fresher legs of the two teams. Utah beat USC in Southern California earlier this season, by a rather comfortable margin. Utah was USC's first home loss on the season, and really helped propel them to the hot finish that they had. Poeltl dominated the Trojans in the last game, and had 29 points and 13 rebounds, and was aggressive from the tip.

It's going to be a tough road through the Pac-12 tournament, and it all starts tonight for the Utes.
