Utah Basketball: Jakob Poeltl Named to another All-America List

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The post season accolades for Jakob Poeltl have really been racking up over the past couple of days. To go along with his Pac-12 Player of the Year award, Poeltl has been named to 4 First Team All-American teams. The latests is the Sporting News All-American first team. He has already been named to the ESPN, USA Today and NBC Sports first teams.

Poeltl would join his teammate from last season, Delon Wright, as a consensus All-American if he continues at this pace, and there's no reason to think he won't. Of course, Poeltl is also in line for some of the biggest awards in the country, including the Wooden Award, the Abdul-Jabbar Award, the Robertson Award and the Naismith Award.

Of course, the season is yet to end for Poeltl and the Utes, as they prepare to play in the Pac-12 Tournament, and the NCAA Tournament next week. Poeltl is hoping to carry the Utes deep into March this season, before probably moving onto the NBA Draft.
