As is standard now, not just in college but in the pros, there is an awards show tonight that will announce the winners of various awards, including the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award for the nations best center, which Utah's own Jakob Poeltl is up for. Poeltl is one of 10 finalists for the award along with:
Moses Kingsley, Arkansas
Josh Scott, Colorado
Egidijus Mockevicius, Evansville
Domantas Sabonis, Gonzaga
Zach Auguste, Notre Dame
AJ Hammons, Purdue
Ben Bentil, Providence
Josh Hawkinson, Washington State
Joel Bolomboy, Weber State
It's cool to see two other Pac-12ers on the list with Scott and Hawkinson, as well as a Weber State guy with Bolomboy.
Poeltl is likely one of the front runners, as he's up for many awards across the country as well.
You can catch the show tonight at 6pm MT on ESPN2.
