Utah Football Recruiting: San Marcos CB Terrell Burgess Commits to Utah Football

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Utah has picked up another commitment on Thursday night from San Marcos, CA, corner Terrell Burgess. Burgess, a three star rated CB by Rivals.com and 247sports.com, chose Utah over Arizona, Cal and San Diego State.

Burgess is the second commit this week, with Nygel King committing just a few days ago. Utah's class is getting really close to complete as there are still a couple more targets out there for the Utes as signing day gets closer.

Burgess is presumably being brought in to help with the secondary departures we'll see after next season, with Domo Hatfield, Reggie Porter, Justin Thomas and Brian Allen moving on. In his film (below), Burgess has good speed, that allows him to pursue his man, or help out teammates. He also plays a lot of wide receiver in his film, so that could be beneficial if Utah has interest in trying him at wide out, but he plays the ball well when it's in the air, catches with his hands and not his body, and has some nice open field moves.

You can see the rest of the Utah commit list below.
