Utah Football Ranked 20th/21st in Coaches & AP Poll

The Utes moved in the right direction up the polls on Sunday.

Bob Stanton-USA TODAY Sports

After a couple of tough weeks, the Utes are finally marching back in the right direction in the polls. After beating Stanford on the road Saturday night in double overtime, the Utes reappaered in the Coaches Poll at 21st, after being out last week, and moved up in the AP to 20th from 25th a week ago.

The Utes are joined by fellow Pac-12er's Oregon, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State and USC in the rankings this week. It appears the voters loved Alabama's win over Mississippi State, because the AP jumped 'Bama over the Ducks. The key is, what will the CFP committee think of this past weekend? The Ducks were at #2 this past week, will they move to #1, or will Alabama leap frog them? A lot of questions will be answered Tuesday evening.

The Utes next game is against the Arizona Wildcats (#15/13), who will be Utah's 5th ranked opponent. That game will kickoff at 1:30 MT, Saturday, at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
