Utah football signs OL Johnny Capra

Utah football has announced the signing of Johnny Capra, a composite 24/7 three-star corner of Auburn, California. The 6-foot 6-inch, 280 pound tackle adds to the offensive line, which saw Jeremiah Poutasi leave early for the NFL after this past season.

The addition of Capra is a double win for the Utes, since they were able to flip his commitment from fellow Pac-12 member Cal. The line is solid going into 2015, with four of five starters returning, and with the development of redshirt freshman Jackson Barton and others. So Capra, unless he plays like an animal is spring and fall, will likely be a redshirt candidate in 2015.

Utah is building one heck of an offensive line with what they already have in the program, and what they've added today.

Capra, like previously stated, was a Cal commit, but was also looked at by Stanford, Washington State and Colorado.
