ATH Britain Covey to join Utes in the fall

Britain Covey will be joining the Utes in the fall and will count toward the 2016 class (per Matt Piper of the SLTrib). Covey is a composite 24/7 three-star athlete from TImpview High School in Provo, Utah. The 5-foot-9, 170 pound athlete was a QB in high school, but will likely be a wide receiver in college. At Timpview his senior year, he had 2600 yards passing and 30 touchdowns, plus 1566 yards rushing and 26 touchdowns.

The athletic, multi-talented recruit could make the transition to a number of positions, but his shiftiness makes him an ideal fit for a slot receiver. Obviously, Covey isn't the biggest guy out on the football field, but as long as he has good hands, runs good routes, and blocks down field, he'll have a chance to make it on the field for the Utes in the future.

Covey was being recruited by BYU and Utah State, plus was receiving some interest from Stanford.

Welcome to the Utah family Britain!
