Per VTF:
11 short days after 2015 National Signing Day, Charles West fell into trouble with the law. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and marijuana possession. On March 31, West would be indicted by a Grand Jury for those charges. In lieu of the charges, Brigham Young University elected to wait for
West's legal troubles to be resolved before inviting him to enroll.

The question for Utah fans is if he is coming, does he have a scholarship available, and if so, will he be a 2016 enrollee? There is usually attrition each year, such as Delshawn McCllelon moving on, and Masina retiring due to injuries, so there may be a scholarship available. Also, at just 5' 9" and 192 pounds, is he going to be a running back? Obviously, Utah already has Troy
One may ask, why would West consider Utah, what ties does he have to the roster? It appears that new Utah wide receivers coach Guy Holliday was West's recruiter while at BYU. You can check out West's highlight reel above.
