I once again joined Mark Rogers on his YouTube channel this past week to talk about Utah's defensive backs, and the number of returning contributors and starters to the unit. As I explained to Mark, this is a deep and experienced unit that Utah fans should be very excited about. Of course, the secondary is led by Marcus Williams, the All-Conference safety, as well as Domo Hatfield, Utah's trash talking corner.
Utah really only lost Tevin Carter from the group, and will be replacing him with Chase Hansen, and if he plays like he did in the Washington game, then watch out. Utah's starters on the outside look just like last year, with Domo, Reggie Porter and Justin Thomas at the nickel. All three of which have made big plays for Utah throughout their entire career. Behind them will be the aforementioned Williams and Hansen, a couple hard hitting ball hawks. You also can't forget about Andre Godfrey, who battled injuries last year, and Jason Thompson for depth.
Watch the video below as we go into these names a bit more.
